Sports betting and online casino operator BetMGM has partnered with professional poker player and content creator Abby Merk. She will become an ambassador and content partner for the BetMGM Poker brand.
As part of the agreement, Merk will participate in in-person poker events and create content for BetMGM across major social media platforms. BetMGM wants to expand its BetMGM Poker brand, which underwent significant changes in November 2024 as it merged New Jersey and Michigan player pools.
Merk is a 24-year-old professional poker player who left her career in finance to start participating in tournaments and posting regular content. In February 2025, she won the Rising Star in Content Creation award at the Global Poker Awards. Her poker content is seen by more than 100,000 followers across YouTube and Instagram as she travels the world playing poker.
Speaking about her appointment as ambassador, Merk said, “Throughout my time in the poker industry, it has always been my dream to partner with a brand that aligns with my values of honor, integrity, and respect while demonstrating a true love of the game.
