Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Releases November Sports Betting and Casino Revenues

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has updated its revenue reports to include new numbers from November 2024, revealing that state-wide sportsbooks handled $315.2 million. Meanwhile, sports betting operators collected revenues of almost $30.1 million, resulting in state taxes of over $2 million.

Meanwhile, casino numbers showed that land-based operations collected revenues of $140.3 million. Admissions hit almost 1.4 million, with a win per capita of $102. State tax from this revenue was just under $27 million.

Huge Sports Betting Revenue Growth Across the State

Sports betting revenues increased year-on-year by 113.4%, so it’s no surprise that almost every operator in IA posted year-on-year revenue growth. The only exception was Ameristar II, where sports betting revenues fell by 44%, taking more than $1 million from the state-wide total. However, this was offset by huge growth elsewhere.

The operator which experienced the most significant increase was Hard Rock Casino, with Hard Rock Bet helping revenues increase by 1704% year-on-year. Another 11 operators experienced growth of more than 100%.
